John C. Fannin III, CPP, LEED AP

As President of KCI Protection Technologies LLC, John C. Fannin III brings more than 30 years of specialized experience in industrial security, fire protection engineering, life safety and risk/emergency management and has a diverse executive management background. He also serves as a corporate officer with KCI Technologies Inc., SafePlace Corporation and Tetragon Associates LLC.

A graduate of the College of Engineering of the University of Maryland, Fannin plays an integral role in international codes and standards development, serves on the Security Engineering Council of Underwriters Laboratories and assisted in the completion of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security-sponsored Risk Analysis and Management for Critical Assets Protection program. Additionally, he holds both a U.S. Department of Homeland Security CVI certification and U.S. Department of Defense TS security clearance. Fannin publishes and lectures internationally and regularly provides commentary for BBC, CBS, CNN, NBC and other major media outlets.
