KCI Honored Among Healthiest Employers

KCI Honored Among Healthiest Employers

September 16, 2011

Tampa, FL

At a luncheon on Thursday September 15, the Tampa Bay Business Journal (TBBJ) honored KCI and other local companies for their efforts in promoting the health and well-being of their employees. The award was given as part of the TBBJ’s Healthiest Employers supplement, which recognized area companies with policies and initiatives promoting a healthy workplace. KCI was selected as the first place finalist in the category of 41 to 150 employees.

KCI winning this award provides us with some great publicity in our community and truly recognizes the wellness program that has been implemented within the company," said Jay Saxena, PE, who was one of several on-hand to accept the award. "Often many try to better understand the ROI on a wellness program before implementation. Others understand that having a wellness program creates a healthy workforce, better morale and savings with healthcare costs."

KCI's wellness program has achieved many goals and has been recognized for its components, but the biggest goal and measure of success is true life change for our employees towards a healthier overall lifestyle.
