KCI's Delaware Office Named Best in Business

September 21, 2009

Newark, DE

For the third year in a row, KCI Technologies Inc. has earned recognition in the Delaware Best in the Business survey published in The News Journal's August 2 issue. KCI was ranked 14th in the small company category this year. In previous years, KCI ranked in the large company category, however the method for determining business size changed this year. Seventy employees in Newark, Lewes, and Wilmington ranked KCI ahead of 17 other small businesses.

KCI’s highest ranking workplace factor was pay and benefits, including an above average ranking for pay among the top 15 small companies. Employees also rated KCI highly in the conditions and execution factors, citing the quality of the physical work environment, the quality of people in the organization, and the efficiency and effectiveness of co-workers.

Dwight Walters, PE, Vice President and Division Chief of Delaware Engineering, is pleased with the firm’s ranking. "I am proud to work with such a dedicated group of professionals and appreciate their confidence in the company. It is such an honor to be named on the Best in the Business Top Employers list for the third consecutive year!"
