KCI Technologies Inc., a multi-disciplined engineering firm with offices in the Northeast, Southeast and Mid-Atlantic, has promoted Edward A. Croft and D. Scott Riddle to vice president. Croft and Riddle lead the firm’s Public Utilities divisions as part of the firm’s newly created Mid-Atlantic Utilities Group.
With more than 21 years of experience, Croft oversees the day-to-day operations of KCI’s utilities design staff in the Laurel, Md., and Sterling Va., offices. Over the past two years, he has led the firm’s expansion into Northern Virginia through strategic business contracts with communications and private utility companies. Croft specializes in utility design, relocation and inspection services. He joined the firm in 2000 and was promoted to assistant division chief in 2005.
Riddle has more than 17 years of experience working with private utilities and government agencies. In his new role, he will oversee marketing, business development and business operations for utilities projects in northern and central Maryland, and southern Pennsylvania. Riddle joined KCI in 1997 and was promoted to assistant division chief in 2005. He is a member of the right-of-way and utilities subcommittee of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials.
“Ed’s done a great job of penetrating the Virginia market for utilities services,” said Senior Vice President Joseph Siemek, PE. “He spearheaded the growth of operations and our recent move from Chantilly to Sterling. As for Scott, his leadership and vision have been instrumental in developing staff, workload and backlog in his market area.”
