Brentwood, TN
KCI Technologies Inc., a multi-disciplined engineering firm with offices in the Northeast, Southeast and Mid-Atlantic, has promoted Gary M. Mryncza, PE, LEED AP, to vice president. With more than 14 years of experience, Mryncza serves as regional natural resources practice leader for the Southeast region.
Mryncza has spent his entire career with KCI after joining the firm as an environmental scientist in 1996. He opened the firm’s office in Brentwood, Tenn., in 2007 while continuing to oversee day-to-day operations of the natural resources staff in North Carolina.
“Gary has always accepted any challenge KCI has asked of him, including relocating, and has proven that he is a leader in his ability to adapt and succeed,” says Executive Vice President Christopher J. Griffith, PE, CCM. “With the firm’s reorganization and blurring of geographic boundaries, I look forward to working with him as we lead the Resource Management Discipline into new regions and markets.”
Mryncza earned a bachelor’s degree in natural science from Towson University in 1996 and a bachelor’s in civil engineering technology from Old Dominion University in 1997. He also holds a master’s degree in natural resources from the University of Birmingham. He expects to complete his Master of Engineering in civil engineering from Vanderbilt University in December. Mryncza is a registered professional engineer in several states and in 2009 earned his Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council.
