KCI Promotes Rodriguez-Hughes to Vice President

KCI Technologies Inc., a multi-disciplined engineering firm with offices in the Northeast, Southeast and Mid-Atlantic, has promoted Xynthia Rodriguez-Hughes, PSM, to vice president. With more than 16 years of industry experience, Rodriguez-Hughes will oversee the firm’s corporate Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE)/Utility Location practice and lead the firm’s power practice in the Southeast.
“Xynthia is a strong leader with outstanding vision and determination,” says Senior Vice President, Darryl J. Kroeze, P.E. “She has led the growth of our Survey Division in Florida, and we anticipate great things from her as a national leader of our SUE and Utility Location Practice.”
Rodriguez joined KCI in 2000 as a drafter and survey technician and quickly moved on to project management. Earlier this year, she was promoted to chief of Florida Surveys, where she has been instrumental in the expansion and success of the division.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix in 2002 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree from the University of South Florida. She is a licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper in the state of Florida and was recently selected to attend the 2010 Florida Engineering Leadership Institute.
