KCI Technologies Appoints William L. Jews to Board of Directors

KCI Technologies Inc., a multi-disciplined engineering firm with offices in the Northeast, Southeast and Mid-Atlantic, has appointed William L. Jews to its Board of Directors. Jews most recently served as past president and chief executive officer of Baltimore-based CareFirst Inc., the seventh largest Blue Cross Blue Shield plan.
Jews will serve with fellow board members, Terry F. Neimeyer, PE (chairman); Jack Kinstlinger, PE (chairman emeritus); Nathan J. Beil, PE; Richard L. Butt, PE, LEED AP; G. Scott Lang, PE, CCM; Patricia J. Mitchell; Charles H. Quandel, PE; William R. Snyder; Lane W. Swauger, PE; and Kenneth H. Trout.
“We are excited to have someone of his caliber and expertise join our board,” said KCI CEO and Chairman Terry F. Neimeyer. “Bill brings to the firm senior leadership capabilities and ideas from his years with CareFirst. We are eager to learn from his experience.”
Jews holds a bachelor’s degree in social and behavioral science from the Johns Hopkins University and a master’s degree in urban planning and policy analysis from Morgan State University. He currently serves on the boards of numerous corporations, including Sterling Partners, Fortress International Group, Camden Partners, the Ryland Group, and Choice Hotels International. He is a member of the University of Maryland Baltimore County’s president’s advisory board and is president of the Signal 13 Foundation.
