Sparks, MD
KCI has promoted Michael A. Lambert, LEED AP, to vice president. With more than 25 years of industry experience, Lambert leads the firm’s Land Development Practice in Maryland. He oversees KCI’s Sparks and Fulton-based civil and site engineering operations, working with a variety of clients ranging from private developers to public school systems.
Lambert joined KCI in 1995 as a designer in the firm’s Environmental Division. Following a career shift into site engineering, he quickly moved up the ranks, taking on the roles of project manager, assistant division chief and then practice leader in 2008. With an emphasis on municipal, K-12 and higher-education facilities, Lambert has overseen the civil/site engineering aspects of many projects in the metropolitan region, including the feasibility study and design to combine Sollers Point Technical and Dundalk high schools on one site in Baltimore County, Md.
“Mike has been an outstanding leader in the Site/Facilities Discipline for many years,” said Senior Vice President Charles A. Phillips Jr., RPLS. “Throughout his career he has set the standard for client service and satisfaction. His promotion to vice president recognizes those qualities and his significant professional contributions to KCI.”
Lambert holds an associate’s degree in business from the Community College of Baltimore County. In 2009, he earned his Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council. He is a member of the Chesapeake Area Society of Health Care Engineering.
