Mechanicsburg, PA

KCI Technologies Inc., a multi-disciplined engineering firm with offices throughout the eastern U.S., welcomes Paul E. McNamee, PE, as transportation client services manager. McNamee, formerly President and CEO of York, Pennsylvania-based Buchart Horn Inc., will spearhead the firm’s efforts to strengthen and expand our existing operations in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia. He will operate out of the firm’s office in Harrisburg, Pa.

KCI has a solid reputation in the transportation market in the Northeast region, where its top clients include the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, and Ohio Department of Transportation. While the firm plans to maintain a strong transportation presence, it will extend its transportation services, along with its other core business lines—environmental and site engineering and construction management—in the region within existing and new markets.

“Paul is a well-respected leader in the engineering industry,” said Executive Vice President and Transportation Discipline Manager Harvey M. Floyd, PE, “His wealth of experience, long-established relationships and knowledge of our clients’ needs in the Pennsylvania and Ohio markets will improve our ability to deliver quality services to our clients in these areas.”

McNamee brings to the firm more than four decades of engineering, design and management experience on projects throughout the Northeast and Central regions and beyond. At Buchart Horn, he directed sales and operations for the firm’s 20 offices as well as the firm’s German subsidiary. His technical expertise includes civil, mechanical, electrical, environmental and facilities engineering for a wide range of government, industrial, institutional, educational, commercial and private clients.

McNamee earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from The Ohio State University in 1970. He is a licensed professional engineer in several states and recently served on the board of directors of the York County Economic Development Corporation. In addition, McNamee chaired the Engineering Committee for the Harrisburg Urban Design Studio and has previously been active in the American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania, Ohio and Illinois, also chairing several committees.
