KCI under a subcontract agreement with Verizon Federal cabled the new Data Center for the Naval Research Laboratory at Bolling Air Force Base. The project was a fast paced short turn around contract due to move-in constraints of the owner and delayed shipment of the cabinets and racks. KCI had 9 days to install 22 cabinets, ladder racking, and a 6/6 composite fiber optic cable and 6 cat6 cables between the main termination and each cabinet. KCI established shifts in the secure area to facilitate the compressed schedule. KCI installed, tested, and furnished the as-built documentation to Verizon in 7 days working around the clock, on weekends, and a holiday. Material was furnished by Verizon and managed by KCI.
