KCI under a master subcontract agreement provided engineering, material, supervision, and labor to install a new 1800 pair feeder to distribute voice services to three new buildings and reroute services to another two buildings. The project also consisted of the installation of an 18 tube air-blown fiber system, and inner duct for conventional fiber optic backbone. A total of over 3500 linear feet of underground cable with 7 copper splices was installed. KCI provided and installed 18 100pair protected frame-connecting blocks in the Zone 4 Switch Building and a total of six 100 pair protected terminals in the outbuildings. The project was completed on time and within budget. Several other projects were awarded based on KCI’s performance on this contract.
