Design-Build Replacement of Bridge Decks on SR 618 (Lee Roy Selmon Expressway)

Under a design-build, incentive-disincentive contract, KCI is overseeing the removal and replacement of six bridge decks on the Tampa-Hillsborough County Expressway Authority’s Lee Roy Selmon Expressway. We operate a fully equipped field office and provide CTQP-qualified staffing for project management, safety, inspection, surveying, sampling, testing, and documentation. Working with FDOT and the designer, we developed and expedited responses to all requests for information (RFIs), and we made recommendations when changes were required to the construction contract cost or schedule, or to the intent of the design criteria. As the project progressed, all field adjustments were collected and the as-built plan set was updated.
