I-70/Six Points Stream Relocation

KCI was part of a team involved in a fast-track project to build an interchange connecting I-70 with a new terminal at Indianapolis International Airport. The project involved relocating more than 2.5 miles of stream from five stream channels, forming two channels. KCI provided stream channel peer review of previously designed channel (by others), channel re-design, H&H modeling, sediment sampling/modeling, stream geomorphic and habitat assessment, agency coordination, permit negotiation, preparation of construction documents, contractor/consultant training, construction management, and post-construction stream monitoring. To date, this has been the largest stream project in INDOT history.
