KCI prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) for the expansion of the existing penitentiary at Hazelton, W.Va. KCI evaluated natural, cultural, and socioeconomic resources for the 250-acre site, and conducted public involvement activities as well as threatened and endangered species surveys for the federally endangered Indiana bat.
