Levee Periodic Inspection

Client:	U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
Location:	Various Locations, N.Y. and Pa.
Services:	Civil, structural, geotechnical, mechanical and electrical engineering and inspection

To comply with the requirements of the National Levee Safety Program, the Baltimore District asked KCI to conduct periodic inspections of more than 100 miles of flood reduction systems. Inspections focused on maintenance and operation as well as deficiencies. The project team collaborated with the Corps to adjust and improve the process along the way, shaping the program and developing the final reporting format, which the district formally adopted for future inspections.
