KCI Recharges Communications Infrastructure

In an effort to recharge and refocus our communications group, KCI is pleased to announce the realignment of our internal organization to more closely match the needs we foresee in the dynamic and ever-evolving telecommunications industry. These changes should help us to better serve our clients, while at the same time offer more opportunities to our employees.

Vice President Brian Skimmons, PMP, will head up a new regional practice that will specialize in mobile access, including radio frequency modeling and systems network analyses. Brian’s leadership in network evaluation combined with RF engineer Tony Whaley’s experience with facility assessment and professional engineer Eric Kohl’s design and analysis expertise can offer value-added capabilities to our clients as they continue to upgrade and improve service to their users, be they employees, tenants, or consumers.

KCI’s Communications Design Practice will join our Utility Services group, led by Vice President Scott Riddle. While the communication design team focuses on right-of-way, design and permitting for telecommunications facilities, other practices in the group specialize in utility coordination and subsurface utility engineering, as well as power transmission and distribution. These practices have always worked together, shared many of the same services, and worked with the same carriers. The firm’s Communications Construction Practice will continue to install cabling and equipment related to inside plant, outside plant, A/V and security throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Florida.
