Cultural Resources
KCI works closely with public- and private-sector clients to investigate potential impacts to prehistoric or historic artifacts and properties. Our archaeologists and historians partner with engineers, planners, landscape architects, graphic designers, public involvement specialists and GIS technicians to implement comprehensive cultural resource identification and preservation programs. Whether for a transportation corridor or general building project, we can identify archaeological and historic sites, recover artifacts, prepare public education programs and develop detailed preservation plans in compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Our cultural resource professionals meet or exceed the requirements set forth in the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualification Standards.
