Ground-Based Laser Scanning

Through the use of 3D laser scanning, KCI can map obscured, complicated and elevated objects outside of regularly traveled pathways, reducing risk, minimizing safety concerns and reducing disruption of traffic. Data is collected quickly and efficiently, minimizing cost to the client. Using highly accurate mirrors, the scanners direct a laser beam across a predefined grid surface to collect millions of data points in mere minutes. We utilize both phase-based and time-of-flight scanners to provide the highest degree of accuracy. Because such a high quantity of data points is collected, extremely detailed and accurate 3D representations and models of the scanned area can be created.
