Stream and Wetland Banking

KCI has been active in the field of environmental restoration since 1989. Since that time, we have been responsible for the restoration of more 250,000 linear feet of stream channel and 1,200 acres of wetlands in nine states. The majority of this work effort was in support of permit specific mitigation needs and the development of mitigation banks through Full Delivery Program (FDP) contracts in support of In-Lieu-Fee (ILF) programs, like the North Carolina Ecosystem Enhancement Program and the Tennessee Stream Mitigation Program.

FDP contracts task KCI with the development of stream/wetland credits (location, acquisition, design, banking instrument development, construction and monitoring) for utilization by the ILF programs. KCI has developed more than $30 million of stream/wetland credits in the last 10 years.
