Hunt Valley – The City of Baltimore selected KCI first among several competing teams for a $3.5 million contract to provide co nsulting services for automating utility data for sewer and storm drains, using Geographic Information System (GIS) technology. The KCI team, led by Nathan J. Beil, PE, Thomas G. Sprehe, PE, and Kerry B. Rexroad, PE, has begun the first phase of the project, which is scheduled for completion in December ‘98.
Hunt Valley – Under the direction of project manager Edward C. Newman III, PE, Kevin Doyle of KCI’s Constr uction Management Group is inspecting work on the $3.5 million Maryland City Library at Russett, in Laurel, MD. The new 15,000-square-foot, single-story library will be located off I-295, the Baltimore-Washington Parkway. Gardiner & Gardin er, Inc. of Crofton, MD, is serving as the General Contractor on the ten-month project.
Hunt Valley – The Maryland State Highway Administration (MSHA) selected K CI to manage a three-year, $500,000 environmental services contract for MSHA’s Engineering Geology Division.
Laurel – Working under a 10-week, fast-track contract with Smolen & Emr Architects of Rockville, MD, KCI Project Manager Mohammad (Mike) Razavi, PE, worked with Caryn Williams and Novarro Boykin to complete site engineering designs for 12 post office locations, planned for southern Maryland. KCI’s effo rts helped the U. S. Postal Service meet tight budgetary deadlines.
Mohammed Sadrolashrafi, a renowned expert in large commercial retail store or “Big Box” development joined KCI in October.
