People (Fall 1998)

Chris GriffithChristopher J. Griffith, PE, assumed leadership of the Construction Management Group in September. Chris served for 12 years as an officer in the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps before joining KCI in September 1997.

Donald A. McConnell, CPA, joined KCI in late 1997 as KCI’s Chief Financial Officer, after 23 years as vice president and director of finance for RTKL. The Board of Directors promoted him to vice president in June.

KCI’s other new vice presidents are Joseph E. Blaney (CEI manager, Construction Management Group); Stephen Carl, PE (chief of the Structures Division); Walter J. DeLury, Jr., PE (manager of the Philadelphia Office); Thomas G. Sprehe, PE (chief of the Environmental Engineering Division); and Douglas H. Warfel, PE (highways manager, Harrisburg, PA Office).

In August, Steven V. Sveda, PE, was promoted to chief of the Mechanical & Electrical Division. A former chief electrical engineer with a Detroit, MI, firm, Steve brings more than 20 years of project management and marketing experience to KCI.

Robert C. Siegfried II also joined KCI in August as environmental manager of the newly opened Richmond, VA, office. He has more than ten years of experience managing and designing environmental projects in Virginia, Maryland, and West Virginia.
