Overseeing Utility Reconstruction for the City of Tampa Water Department

In September, when FDOT District 7 begins widening 6.3 miles of Interstate 4, between 14th to 50th streets in Tampa, KCI will serve as the CEI representative for the City of Tampa’s Water Department, ensuring a seamless transition of water service from existing pipes to new water lines for area residents. “The City’s shorthanded when it comes to inspectors,” explained KCI Project Manager John A. Padavich, PE, “so we’ll act on its’ behalf, overseeing the installation of new lines to meet City requirements and conducting hydrostatic and bacteriological testing to make sure that the water is clean and ready for use.”
