Each April, KCI’s employee-owners adopt a charitable organization and sponsor several events throughout the year to raise money and awareness. Since April 2001, KCI has donated more than $12,900 to the Baltimore Ronald McDonald House, one of 206 in 19 countries that provide a “home-away-from-home” for families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals.
On October 16, the Honorable Martha S. Klima, Delegate to the Maryland General Assembly, District 9A, Baltimore County, presented KCI’s Douglas A. Leslie and Matthew D. Creel (Public Utilities, Hunt Valley) with a House Resolution from Speaker Casper R. Taylor, Jr. The resolutions congratulate the men for their unselfish acts of courage in rescuing a motorist from a burning, overturned car on MD Route 50, west of MD 301, in May 2001.
