President's Message (Fall 2001)

Terry F. NeimeyerSeptember 11, 2001 is a day we will never forget. Like everyone, everywhere, KCI’s employee owners have been touched, some personally, by this horrid series of events and express sympathies to the innocent victims. It is our hope that the perpetrators and their accomplices will be brought to justice, swiftly. We can only hope that this attack teaches us, as a nation, to be more vigilant, and, as a profession, to work toward designing and constructing safer cities and airports.

The Consulting Engineers Council of Maryland asked the State’s 75 member firms, representing 3,500 employees, to stage “Red, White, and Blue Denim Days” on the last three Fridays in September. Participants have made significant donations to various funds supporting the workers, police, and firefighters injured or killed in the attacks on New York and Washington. As president of CEC/MD, thank you for contributing to the relief effort.

Through these days of grief and mourning and in the coming days of military action, please keep the families of the victims and our defenders of freedom in your prayers.

Terry F. Neimeyer
President, Chief Executive Officer
& Chairman of the Board
