Community Service (Summer 2004)

KCI employees plant bay grasses at Otter Point Creek in Abingdon, MDThe Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) recognized KCI as a “Bay Saving Hero” in its 2003 Annual Report. KCI supported CBF as its corporate charity for 2003-04, raising $9,400 toward Bay restoration efforts. Led by Committee Chair Christopher L. Overcash, PE, employees grew and planted bay grasses, developed educational programs, conducted field trips, and sponsored an auction to raise money for CBF.

In April, KCI began fundraising efforts for Abilities Network and Epilepsy Foundation of the Chesapeake Region, a non-profit organization providing services to children and adults of all ages, with a variety of disabilities and challenges. The organization helps individuals and families achieve personal goals and reach their maximum potential.
