North Carolina
Raleigh—KCI Environmental Technologies & Construction, Inc., and KCI Technologies are assisting the Memphis and Shelby County Port Commission with creating a wetlands mitigation bank on Presidents Island in Tennessee. Under the direction of Joe Pfeiffer, KCI has conducted preliminary research suggesting that approximately 3,600 acres of the site can be restored for wetland credits. Joe anticipates that the mitigation will create credits valued in excess of $40 million.
Washington, NC—KCI Tower Systems, Inc., is teaming with KCI Technologies on a $2 million contract to analyze and perform structural upgrades on more than 50 towers in the eastern half of North Carolina for U. The second phase of the three-phase project will begin in August. KCI’s Bill Frost, PE, is serving as project manager.
