FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
HUNT VALLEY, MD, September 16, 2008—KCI Technologies Inc., a multi-disciplined engineering firm with offices in the Northeast, Southeast and Mid-Atlantic, has announced the winner of the Terry F. Neimeyer Scholarship, in honor of its chairman and CEO. The award goes to Thomas F. (Tommy) Scherr, a chemical engineering major and lacrosse player at the University of Delaware, and a graduate of Mt. St. Joseph High School in Baltimore.
The annual Terry F. Neimeyer Scholarship was established in 2006 at the University of Delaware’s College of Engineering. Neimeyer played lacrosse for four years at UD and received his bachelor’s degree there in 1977. The $5,000 scholarship is funded by the Terry F. Neimeyer Endowment, which was established by KCI Technologies, friends and members of the board.

Terry F. Neimeyer, PE, serves as chairman and CEO of KCI Technologies, one of the top-100 engineering firms nationwide. He has served as chairman of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce, chairman of the Design Professionals Coalition for the American Council of Engineering Companies, and president of the XL Insurance Design Professional Risk Control Group. He currently sits on the board of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
