Delaware Engineering Division Reaps Benefits for Firm

HUNT VALLEY, MD—KCI Technologies, a Maryland-based engineering firm with offices in the Mid-Atlantic and southern United States, recently announced two promotions in its Newark, DE Engineering Division: D. Dwight Walters, P.E. to Vice President and Todd Frey, P.E. to Senior Associate. “Both Dwight and Todd have made significant contributions to the growth and success of our business in Newark,” said Senior Vice President Charles A. Phillips, Jr., RPLS. “Through dedication to customer satisfaction and repeat business, they have developed KCI’s reputation as the go-to firm in northern Delaware and eastern Maryland.”
Walters began his career with KCI in 1988 as a civil engineer and is currently responsible for the overall supervision of urban planning and development, municipal engineering, surveying, environmental planning, and environmental engineering for the Newark office. He has managed commercial, industrial and residential projects in the public and private sector and has served as the Town Engineer for Elkton, MD since 1996. Walters earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Delaware. He is a registered in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Currently serving as the Assistant Division Chief for the Newark office, Frey manages land planning and design for several commercial, industrial and residential developments. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Delaware and began working for KCI in 1994 as a civil engineer. He is registered in Delaware and Maryland.
In addition to the promotions, KCI’s Newark office recently added two engineers to its staff—Sabine Watson, P.E. and J. Ryan Flickinger, P.E.
A Project Manager specializing in municipal engineering, Watson brings to KCI eight years of experience in civil engineering design, construction project management, and public relations. She earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in civil and structural engineering at the Stevens Institute of Technology and is licensed in Delaware and Pennsylvania.
Flickinger has worked for five years in civil engineering design and construction. He will serve the firm as a Project Manager, specializing in water and wastewater engineering. Flickinger earned a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering from the University of Delaware and is licensed in Delaware.
