Scholarship Honors KCI Technologies CEO

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

HUNT VALLEY, MD—Terry F. Neimeyer, PE, chief executive officer and chairman of the board for Maryland-based KCI Technologies Inc., was honored with a scholarship established in his name at the consulting engineering firm’s annual awards luncheon on October 6. The honor was given by Eric W. Kaler, dean of the University of Delaware’s College of Engineering, where Neimeyer received his bachelor’s degree in 1977.

A $5,000 scholarship will be awarded annually to a Maryland public high school graduate who is enrolled full-time in the UD College of Engineering. Preference will be given to lacrosse players or other student athletes who, like Neimeyer, attended Dundalk High School in Baltimore County. Neimeyer played UD lacrosse for four years. Funding for the scholarship will come from the Terry F. Neimeyer Endowment, established by KCI Technologies, friends and members of the board.

“There is no one more deserving of this honor than Terry,” said KCI President Nathan J. Beil, PE. “We feel that a scholarship in his name recognizes not only his exceptional leadership, but also his ongoing commitment to education and his willingness to provide opportunities for young people who want to follow his lead.”

In addition to his position as CEO and chairman at KCI Technologies, Neimeyer spent more than 10 years as president of the company, which is among the top 100 engineering firms nationwide. He has received the 2001 Civil Engineer of the Year award from the American Society of Civil Engineers, Maryland Chapter, and the 2002 Engineer of the Year award from the Engineering Society of Baltimore. The current chairman of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce, Neimeyer was inducted into the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce business hall of fame in 2004.

In addition to earning a B.S. in civil engineering at UD, Neimeyer received an M.S. in environmental engineering from the Johns Hopkins University and an M.B.A. from Wilmington College. He has been with KCI since 1977 and currently resides in Parkton, MD.
