HUNT VALLEY, MD, September 20, 2006—KCI Technologies Inc., a Maryland-based consulting engineering firm with offices in the Northeast, Southeast and Mid-Atlantic, has promoted Joseph J. Siemek, PE, to senior vice president. With 28 years of experience in the planning, design and construction of public works infrastructure, Siemek oversees three public and subsurface utilities divisions in KCI’s Mid-Atlantic Region. Siemek will continue operating out of the firm’s corporate headquarters in Hunt Valley.
“Joe has clearly demonstrated an ability to successfully build KCI’s utilities and infrastructure consulting business over the past several years,” said Thomas G. Sprehe, PE, manager of the firm’s environmental group. “I look forward to working closely with him as we continue to expand our services geographically.”
Since joining KCI in 2002, Siemek has managed contracts with some of KCI’s largest clients, including the city of Baltimore, Baltimore Gas and Electric, the Maryland State Highway Administration, and Verizon. He received a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 1978 and a master’s in business administration from Loyola College in Maryland in 1987. He resides in Belair, Md.
