FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

HUNT VALLEY, MD, OCTOBER 19, 2007—KCI Technologies Inc., a multi-disciplined engineering firm with offices in the Northeast, Southeast and Mid-Atlantic, has hired Jeffrey R. Perkins, PE, as division chief of civil/environmental engineering in its Northeast Region. Perkins will oversee engineering services for industrial facility operators, utility companies, municipalities and other clients in the civil/environmental market. Among his top priorities will be to expand the firm’s services from Pennsylvania north.

A licensed engineer in New York and Pennsylvania, Perkins has roughly 20 years of experience in engineering and business development. He comes to KCI from another east coast engineering firm, where he served as director of marketing and oversaw the company’s ISO 9001:2000 quality assurance program. KCI’s Northeast Region is also ISO 9001:2000-certified.

“I’ve worked with Jeff for a long time and I know he’ll be a great addition,” said Vice President Jeffrey C. Lookup, PE, head of KCI’s Northeast Region. “Bringing him on board will help us take one of our well established business lines and extend it to Indiana, Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York and New Jersey. Eventually, we expect these services to be available throughout the entire Northeast, as they currently are throughout the Mid-Atlantic.” Perkins received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Society of American Military Engineers. Perkins will operate out of the firm¹s Rochester, N.Y., Office.
