DiLaura Chosen as Inspector of the Year—The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) honored Joseph DiLaura, a construction inspector in the Hunt Valley Construction Supervision Division, as the District 3 Consultant Inspector of the Year. He was recognized at an awards banquet on January 12 as part of the SHA Office of Construction’s annual Expo in Baltimore.

National Homebuilder Presents KCI with “Make it Happen” AwardMarni Sklodowski, a surveyor and design technician in KCI’s Newark office, was presented with the Ryan Homes 2007 “Make it Happen” Award at the national homebuilder’s annual company picnic in Bear, Del., on October 19. “These projects are subject to tight deadlines and accurate results,” said Newark Division Chief and Vice President Dwight Walters. “She has consistently delivered excellent professional service in this area for many years and is very deserving of this recognition.”

Heyn Chosen as Young Engineer of the Year—The Maryland Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers honored Christopher Heyn, PE, senior associate and division chief of KCI’s Technology Services Division, as Young Engineer of the Year. Judges consider scholastic achievement, professional activities, engineering experience and accomplishment, technical papers, and civic and humanitarian activities when selecting their candidate.
