KCI prepared plans for this 279-acre subdivision in Highland Township. This project was completed on an extremely tight schedule of only three weeks. In the three weeks available, KCI’s staff of planners and landscape architects had to plan and design the 279 lots on the site. The existence of streams, ponds, wetlands, existing vegetation, and existing structures on the site complicated the design. In addition, the site is highly visible from neighboring residential properties, therefore the design had to accommodate a large number of units while minimizing the visual impact of the site.
The work included lot layout, street design and alignment, stormwater management, grading design, water system layout, septic system layout, landscape planning, open space planning, community recreation center concept, and activity trail layout. KCI completed all work within the three week deadline and presented the plan to the Township.
