Inspecting Prettyboy Dam Road Bridge

High above a roaring spillway on a crisp, snow-covered February 5th, KCI’s Mike Gawel and Dave Clayton inspected the two-lane bridge carrying Prettyboy Dam Road over the Prettyboy Reservoir in Parkton, MD. KCI is inspecting the bridge, built in 1932 and rehabilitated in 1998, under a two-year, city-wide bridge inspection contract with the City of Baltimore Department of Transportation, Bridge Division. After several hours of navigating among the arches along the length of the bridge in a snooper basket, Mike and Dave found the 693-foot, reinforced concrete structure to be in good condition.
