KCI provided site planning, site engineering, and landscape architecture for the design of a state-of-the-art car wash facility in Baltimore. KCI provided the layout and design of the facility including the car wash area, office/cashier area, customer waiting area, and an outdoor seating area. The design of the site was challenging due to the small size of the lot. The site was designed to include stacking for 14 vehicles, overhead vacuum facility, detailing area, outdoor customer seating, and traffic circulation in a coherent design that would gain the support of the neighborhood association. The design included landscape screening and shade tree planting to beautify the lot. KCI worked with the City of Baltimore to correct traffic and circulation issues while maintaining the integrity of the original design. KCI also provided preliminary design including proposed site lighting, sewer and water service, site drainage, and signage.
