KCI provided Construction Management Services for the renovation and addition to St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Glen Burnie, Maryland. The project entailed renovations within the existing facilities to improve aesthetics and space utilization, increase restroom fixture counts, and meet ADA requirements; a new two-story, 16,389 square foot Educational Building linked to the existing Church and School Complex to provide additional space to accommodate the educational program; and a new fire protection sprinkler system to meet code requirements throughout the existing and new buildings. The project presented many challenges but KCI was able to expedite re-design efforts by the engineering team, provide timely information to the contractor to facilitate progress, and coordinate with the contractor or to avoid unnecessary re-work and minimize delays/costs.
