KCI is performing bridge condition and underwater inspection, structural analysis, bridge rehabilitation and design, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, and scour analysis for the Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
KCI has performed routine and in-depth hands-on condition inspections and prepared reports for 339 army installation bridges throughout the U.S. Underwater bridge inspections were performed for 38 bridges. Load ratings were performed for seven bridges which included one actual load test and Level I Scour Analysis was performed for the majority of the bridges. Tasks include:
- United States Military Academy, NY, 2004 – 37 bridges (1 underwater inspection and 1 load rating)
- Military Facility and Army Airfield, Georgia, 2004 – 33 bridges
- Military Facility and Training Center, Washington, 2004 – 21 bridges (1 underwater inspection and 1 load rating)
- Army Plant, Virginia, 2004 – 4 bridges
- Military Facility, Missouri, 2004 – 3 bridges (3 underwater inspections)
- Two Military Facilities, Kansas, 2005 – 44 bridges and 2 dams (2 load ratings, 1 confined space inspection)
- Military Facility, Georgia, 2005 – 31 bridges (1 emergency underwater inspection)
- Military Facility, Kentucky, 2005 – 42 bridges (7 underwater inspections and 2 load ratings)
- Two Military Facilities, North Carolina, 2005 – 34 bridges (4 underwater inspections)
- Military Facility, Missouri, 2005 – 13 railroad bridges (2 underwater inspections)
- Military Facility, Louisiana, 2005 – 40 bridges
- Naval Facility, Fosters Creek Bridge, South Carolina, 1 bridge (Load test to determine load ratings)
- Military Facility, Georgia, 2005 – 36 bridges (4 underwater inspections)
