Federal Sector

Federal Sector Services

From the time our firm was established in 1955 in Baltimore, MD, we have provided a wide range of our available services to civilian federal agencies and the Department of Defense. We are able to bring our full range of specialized expertise to the federal sector as we are knowledgeable in all of the procedures and compliance issues utilized by governmental agencies. This knowledge has been accumulated as the result of years of service among various federal government clients. Our work with civilian agencies has included long term contracts with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Social Security Administration, the Federal Highway Administration, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. The portfolio of work with the Department of Defense includes many contracts with various Districts of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, including the Baltimore, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Norfolk, Wilmington, and Savannah Districts. Past work for the Department of the Navy, Naval Facilities Engineering Command includes projects throughout the Northeast, Mid Atlantic, and South Atlantic divisions. We have also had several contracts directly with individual military installations. Our total work effort has taken us to many major installations throughout the eastern United States and beyond.

Federal Client Philosophy

Our unique knowledge of governmental project technical guidelines and processes, acquisition and reporting requirements, and funding/scheduling issues enables KCI to bring to the federal government every design and construction discipline that is present at our firm. All of the various services that we provide may be utilized by civilian and military entities because our staff of professionals knows the applicable forms, procedures, and methods utilized throughout the federal design and construction process. This enables us to deliver the maximum benefits we have to offer, and these yield a great payback to our clients.

KCI is well known for responsiveness, a focus on client satisfaction, and taking the time to understand what each individual client needs. We provide a direct feedback to our federal sector clients, and once a definitive project is set, we deliver as promised. The firm has been well recognized in the past for our innovations to minimize operational interruptions, sequence construction schedules around training requirements, and to deliver a high quality ‘user friendly’ product.
