Our principals play an integral role in international codes and standards development, sitting on several code development committees including the National Fire Alarm Code (ANSI/NFPA 72), the Committee on Premises Security (ANSI/NFPA 730/731), the Standard on Disaster/Emergency Management and Business Continuity Programs (ANSI/NFPA 1600), the U.S. Technical Advisory Group to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for the Societal Security Standard (ISO/TC223) the international standard for crisis management and business continuity, and assisted in the completion of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security sponsored RAMCAP Risk Analysis and Management for Critical Assets Protection program and the Standard for Risk Assessment and Management of Terrorism.
KCI-PT maintains relationships with the National Fire Protection Association, the Society of Fire Protection Engineers, the American Society of Safety Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the Society for Risk Analysis, the International Association of Emergency Managers and the American Society for Industrial Security among others.
Our licensed professional engineers, Certified Protection Professionals and NICET specialists have experience with the Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) DoD Minimum Antiterrorism Standards for Buildings. Additionally, professionals at KCI Protection Technologies are certified in the VAMCAPTM Vulnerability Assessment Methodology for Critical Asset ProtectionTM architecture and other credible assessment methodologies.
