William Roberts oversees administrative practices, facilitates integration during acquisitions, participates in top-level decision making and further develops the organization.
His four-decade career spans across marketing, consumer affairs, operations, public policy and government relations. Roberts has been involved on numerous boards for organizations and institutions that focus their efforts on local impact.
As former president and CEO of Verizon’s Mid-Atlantic region, he was responsible for overseeing all operations, including more than 15,000 employees throughout Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Roberts earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration/marketing from Morgan State University and completed graduate studies in industrial engineering at Eastern Michigan University and marketing/management at Howard University. He also holds honorary doctorates in public service and humane letters from University of Maryland Global Campus and University of Maryland Eastern Shore, respectively. He was named the Loyola University Sellinger School of Business 2004 Business Leader of the Year and was inducted into the Maryland Chamber of Commerce Business Hall of Fame in 2012.
