Harvey Floyd is an Executive Vice President and Chief Knowledge Officer. Harvey joined KCI in 1985 as a project engineer and was later promoted to vice president and chief of the structures division. In 1995, he was promoted to senior vice president and appointed head of KCI’s Mid-Atlantic transportation market, serving clients in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. In 2007, Harvey was promoted to chief client services officer, where he oversaw the firm’s business practices and quality management system. In 2010, he assumed the role of Transportation Discipline Manager, responsible for management of the firm’s highway and bridge planning and design efforts company-wide. He was promoted to Chief Knowledge Officer in 2018
Harvey earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University and his Master of Business Management from Loyola University. He is a registered professional engineer in five states. He has been active in numerous professional organizations including serving on the board of trustees for the Baltimore Museum of Industry, the County Engineers Association of Maryland, Chairman of the American Council of Engineering Companies’ Political Action Committee and treasurer of the Maryland Chapter’s Political Action Committee.
