James Fitz Morris is a Practice Leader for KCI’s Transportation Structures Practice in the southeast. He was promoted to Vice President in 2017. Operating out of the firm’s Charlotte, North Carolina, office, Jim manages a team of engineers that specializes in bridge design and construction phase contractor engineering services. He has nearly three decades of experience in design-bid-build and design build projects that include steel curved girders, lift bridges, truss structures, steel and concrete arches, pretensioned and post-tensioned concrete, work trestles, bridge jacking, formwork, falsework, shorings and a wide variety of construction engineering services.
Jim earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is a registered professional engineer in seven states.
