Jim Somerville is a developer within KCI’s Asset Management Practice focused on the infrastructure and emergency management sectors. With more than 15 years of experience, he is seasoned in application development, database management, server administration and GIS, as well as open source and proprietary technologies, service-oriented architectures, systems planning, and agile software development. Jim is a lead architect of enterprise solutions, including hosting, systems integration, data management and applications. His expertise includes securing communications with web servers, ArcGIS Server, and databases using membership and roles providers, SSL, and LDAP/Active Directory.
Jim earned his bachelor’s degree in environmental science from Oregon State University and his master’s degree in science and technology from the University of Utah. He is certified by the Institute of Asset Management.
