John Furman, PE has nearly 40 years of experience in mastering and delivering every aspect of design and construction for both public and private clients in a variety of domestic and foreign engagements. He is skilled at setting the strategic direction and diplomatically orchestrating large, diverse teams ranging from individual projects to multi-hundred million dollar programs. Specifically, John’s experience includes serving as program manager and/or principal-in-charge for a multi-billion project portfolio, multi-million dollar design-build projects, and Public Private Partnership (P3) projects.
John received his bachelor’s degree in building construction from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and later earned a master’s degree in administrative science from Johns Hopkins University. He is a Certified Construction Manager, Project Management Professional, and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional. John is an active member of numerous professional organizations including the Project Management Institute, the Construction Management Association of America, the International Facility Management Association and the American Council of Consulting Engineers. In addition, he graduated from leadership programs offered by the Greater Baltimore Committee and the state of Maryland.
