Khalil Zaied is vice president and regional practice leader of special projects at KCI. Before joining the firm he spent the majority of his career with the Baltimore City government, where he progressed from an Engineer I in the Department of Transportation to Deputy Mayor for Operations. Most recently, he served as Deputy City Manager for Public Works and Transportation for the city of El Paso, responsible for capital improvement plans for roadway construction, mass transit operation, building maintenance, expansion of the existing park system, and the addition of three signature cultural destinations.
Khalil holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. He serves on the Governor’s Commission on Middle Eastern Affairs and is a member of the board of trustees for the Arab American Association of Engineers & Architects, Maryland-DC Chapter.
