KCI is providing GIS Application Support Services under an open-end contract with the city of Chattanooga. In support of their GIS, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and other custom applications, the work can involve providing training, configuring systems, and meeting with stake holders to discuss requirements for mobile and web applications.
The city of Chattanooga currently utilizes Cityworks as its CMMS for tracking Department of Public Works and wastewater plant maintenance activities. Under this contract, our team works closely with Chattanooga staff to improve and expand their current Cityworks implementation, including application upgrades, end-user training, database re-design and cleanup, mobile implementation, and inventory management (Storeroom) configuration. Tasks have included:
Cityworks Upgrade for the Waste Resources Division. Our team is assisting Chattanooga’s Waste Resources Division (WRD) in upgrading their Cityworks implementation for managing pump station facilities from the desktop-based version to the latest web-based version. As a part of this task, KCI is configuring test and production environments, providing on-site training and on-call support, and making necessary updates to the asset geodatabase.
GIS and Cityworks End-User Support for Sewer Maintenance. KCI is assisting Chattanooga’s Sewer Maintenance department with their Cityworks implementation by providing on-site training and on-call support. Our team has created custom training guides that are used during classroom training sessions for the user group. KCI also provides one-on-one training sessions to help users with their individual concerns. Our team observed the workflows of the Sewer Maintenance group and performed a subsequent gap analysis to determine where inefficiencies existed the best methods for resolving them. KCI coordinates with the City’s Cityworks administrators to help resolve such issues.
