KCI engineers and designers have been providing energy modeling for more than two decades. From tenant lease build-outs to high rise office buildings, our team has created measureable solutions that provide a direct return on investment.
KCI uses sophisticated software to create energy models of buildings that simulate real world energy usage within defined values of the project. These models are used to assess paybacks from energy saving measures and recommend replacements and upgrades to a facility’s systems. Services include:
- Energy Model Development and Analysis
- Forensics Modeling
- Building System Evaluations and Analysis
- Facility Assessments and Feasibility Studies
- Value Analysis and Engineering
- Life-Cycle Costing
Our team uses Trace 700 software, along with 3-D computer-aided drafting and building information modeling to provide our clients with a building’s expected energy consumption. Energy use data and manufacturer’s performance on all appendages within a building combine to form a ‘virtual facility’. In this format, engineers are able to analyze a comprehensive view of facility equipment running simultaneously, as well as the movement and energy flow of occupants. This allows our team to predict utility and energy usage, avoid costs associated with traditional mock-ups, and test the effects of various technologies associated with overall savings.
