Alison Koss is a structural engineer and practice leader for building structures. She oversees design of steel, concrete, and wood structures for commercial, industrial, residential, governmental and institutional clients. Since joining the firm’s Raleigh, North Carolina, office in 2005, her experience has also included the design and analysis of telecommunications structures, foundation analysis and design, modification design to retrofit existing structures for compliance with local building codes and design standards, and field work investigations to document and inspect existing conditions.
Alison earned her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from North Carolina State University and is a registered professional engineer in 12 states. She chairs the American Council of Engineering Companies / North Carolina Buildings and Infrastructure Committee and is a member of the Raleigh Engineers Club.
