Carlos Gittens joined KCI in late 2014 and has more than 20 years of infrastructure experience in design and management. His background includes construction management, rail coordination and extensive utility coordination and management. Carlos has worked with many state and municipal organizations on a wide range of projects, including road widening and bridge replacements. Some of his clients have included FDOT; SCDOT; NCDOT; SC Ports Authority; Spartanburg County, South Carolina; City of Greer, South Carolina, and City of Charlotte, North Carolina. He also has strong design-build experience in Florida, South Carolina and North Carolina. He has also completed over 12 projects in varying sizes and project types.
Carlos attended the University of Central Florida, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 1998 and a master’s degree in administration in 2000. He is a registered professional engineer in multiple states. Since college, Carlos has been very active in the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) with leadership involvement in three states and in positions locally, statewide, and nationally. His involvement includes serving as the Central Florida Chapter President, South Carolina State President and four years on the National Board of Directors.
