Carlos Gittens joined KCI late in 2014 with more than 16 years of infrastructure experience in design and management. His background includes construction management, rail coordination and extensive utility coordination and management. Carlos has worked with state and municipal organizations on a wide range of projects, including road widening and bridge replacements for the Florida Department of Transportation, South Carolina Department of Transportation, city of Charlotte, Spartanburg county, and the South Carolina Port Authority’s Inland Port, as well as transportation design-build contracts for the Florida, South Carolina and North Carolina departments of transportation.
Carlos attended the University of Central Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1998 and a Master of Business Administration in 2000. He is a registered professional engineer in multiple states. In 2016, Carlos was selected to serve a two-year term on the National Society of Professional Engineers’ Board of Directors. He also currently serves nationally as the chair of the organization’s Professional Engineers in Private Practice Committee and previously led the Central Florida chapter.
