Under an on-call contract with Anne Arundel County, Maryland, KCI provided construction management and inspection services for the renovation and addition of the South County Senior Center.
Valued at $2.5 million, the project was comprised of a 2,000-square-foot addition and interior renovations to enhance services and activities for the community’s senior citizens. The addition included three new activity spaces with a movable partition, while renovations included a fitness room, restroom upgrades, a reception area, and office modifications.
To keep the project schedule on track, our team utilized KCI’s Mobile Field Service reporting software for daily inspections and a cloud-based project management platform for tracking project communication. Despite facing various challenges such as outdated fire alarm systems, unexpected repairs, and material delays resulting from the pandemic, KCI effectively completed the project on time and within budget and exceeded client expectations, allowing seniors to enjoy improved social and fitness activities with their peers.
